Here at ITEX we are firm believers in encouraging children to be their most innovative selves. This is why the inaugural staging of the World Young Inventors Exhibition (WYIE) during ITEX 2017 was such a big success that we had to bring it back in 2018! The debut of WYIE saw participants from 68 local primary and secondary schools whereas on the international level, a total of 9 countries sent their representatives over. As we aim to leapfrog into 2018, we hope to raise the awareness of budding inventors through new innovative approaches and to complement the enhanced STEM curriculum introduced in schools. WYIE will encourage higher order thinking skills with the objective to expose young students to the innovative landscape in the real world as well as encourage potential innovators to start young. So keep an eye out as we unveil a more inclusive and stimulating staging of WYIE.
One of the largest Young Inventors Exhibition in Asia, AYIE is one of the main pillars which supported the successful staging of ITEX in recent years. Opening its doors to schools from all 14 states in Malaysia, MYIE provides a platform for young Malaysian inventors to showcase their winning innovations. MYIE will feature winners emerging from national level young inventors competition.
